Colombo: India Pacer Navdeep Saini must undergo scanning to ensure the extent of the damage made on his left shoulder after falling badly when he decreases in Sri Lanka.
Saini, who was not a one bowl in the game, was taken from the field in the second from behind in Sri Lanka Innings, when he fell on his left shoulder.
Speedster Delhi was abandoned from XI playing for the third game and still had to be seen whether it was a bruise or something more serious, which could require a longer layer.
“Navdeep Saini suffered a left shoulder injury while protecting during the second T20i vs.
Sri Lanka on July 28th.
He may have to undergo scan to ensure the level of injury.
His progress is being monitored by medical staff,” BCCI said in a statement.
With eight players in isolation after the Covid-19 test positive all-rounder pandya, the Indian team who had lost four goals at the second T20 here on Wednesday.
“In the case of Navdeep, I think the medical team handles it.
We will assess the situation, maybe tonight or in the morning and make a suitable decision,” said Bowling coach India Paras Mhambrey at a post-match press conference.
“And I think, once the decision is resolved and submitted to the voters and coaches, I think we will continue and then if we need to make any changes, we will do that,” he added.
