The English tour in Bangladesh, which is scheduled to take place in September and October, has been pushed back to March 2023, said two cricket boards on Tuesday.
The council arrived with a decision “together”, according to a statement by the British and the Wales Cricket Board (ECB), which added that the tour would include three international days of one day and three twenty -20 games.
Delays mean that English players will be able to take part in the Retregated Indian Premier League (IPL) who proceeded in the United Arab Emirates from September 19.
The IPL was suspended after 29 matches this year due to a surge in Covid-19 cases in India.
Players who do not compete in the IPL will get a break before the busy British winter schedule, which includes the T20 World Cup is scheduled to start on October 17 in Oman and UAE and ashes in Australia.
England faced India in a series of five tests began Nottingham on Wednesday.
Bangladesh entertained Australia in the first five years on Tuesday.
