Ballari: In an effort to promote Khadi and increase the production of shortcut fabrics and benefit small weavers throughout the country, Vijayanagara University Sri Krishnadevaraya has asked students who do not teach to wear khadi clothes on Friday on Friday.
.Varsity Vice Chancellor Siddu P Algur told TOI that they have taken several initiatives to educate students about the use of cottage industry products.
“We have also organized the pondok industrial product exhibition in the university,” he said.
“To mark the celebration of the 75th Independence Day, we have decided to make it mandatory for all staff and students to wear khadi clothes every Friday, which will come into force since August 20,” he added.

Most of the departments and colleges have responded positively with our coiling khadi clothing from next Friday.
Although it is obligatory for all staff and students to wear khadi clothes every Friday, we will not take action against students or staff if they fail to do the same.
