Kalaburagi / Ballari: Yadagir SP CB Vedamurthy has suspended three policemen because they failed to stop shooting rifles during the procession ‘Jan Ashirvad Yatra’ BJP in Yaragola Village near Yadagiri on Wednesday.
Veeresh, Santhosh and Mehboob, who attached to Yadagir’s rural police station, was suspended on Thursday.
The three were deployed for security and were told not to let people gather in large quantities.
They also failed to stop shooting rifles during the procession and did not recover rifles from the defendant.
Wepamurthy said the disciplinary action was carried out on three policemen.
He added that on Wednesday the bicycle rally was held by the BJP district unit that was not permitted by the police department and therefore the action would be taken against them.
The visit of the Union Minister Bhagwant Khuba was also on the news on Thursday, after a video, showing the shooter carrying footwear to Khuba in Ballari, went viral.
Many people and leaders of the opposition have expressed their anger against the Union minister.
