HubbalLi: Many people do not know the original copy of the Indian constitution and its structure.
To create awareness about it among people, the rural development of the state of Karnataka and Panchayat Raj University (KSRDPRU), Gadag, has kept the original copy to be public views in the library.
For the first time, the original copy of the Indian constitution is displayed for the public and students in the university.
People, including students, visited the university to see and read this original copy.
This will be displayed until August 22.
P F Anand Gouda, responsible for the KSRDPRU library, Gadag, told TII that they had displayed a copy of the original constitution for the general, to mark the celebration of the 75th Independence Day.
We received this original copy of the central government two years ago, he said.
He said the original copy is now available at MySuru Palace, Gwalior Palace, Salarjung Museum, Hyderabad, and other important universities and places to see by the public.
He said the central government had taken the task of reprinting the original copy of the constitution in 1917-18, and sending this copy to many places in the country, to allow ordinary people to see a glimpse of the original copy of the constitution designed by BR Ambedkar.
He said that the original copy of which has more than 300 pages, has 395 articles, 9 schedules, and important content on fundamental rights.
“Now, students, members of various organizations, NGOs and people from villages and surrounding places visit the university to read the original copy of the Constitution,” he said.
Basavaraj, Somalinga, Ningappa, and others who came from the village of Jalan Souni to see the original copy of the Constitution, said that they were waiting for such opportunities, and that their desire was finally fulfilled.
“We are very happy after seeing and reading the original copy of the Indian Constitution.
This copy will be a big assistance for students research and faculty teachers to obtain more knowledge about the constitution,” they said.
