MELBOURNE: Batsman Usman Khawaja has been recalled back to the Australian test team for ash and will duel with the head of Travis for the place of the middle order emptied by Matthew Wade.
Khawaja, who has played 44 tests, has been ignored by the selection since being dropped during ash 2019 but captain Queensland has made a strong case for the selection with centuries behind Sheffield Shield last month.
