Mumbai: The tour of the West Indies will come in India, which consists of a series of six limited matches, can now be played only in Ahmedabad and Kolkata because of the Covid-19 surge in the country.
“The BCCI tour and equipment committee held a meeting today.
Initially thought that this series could be played in many places.
However, because the Covid situation, the committee has recommended that the white ball series will only be played in two places – Ahmedabad and Kolkata,” said a person source in BCCI on Wednesday.
BCCI is expected to announce the final equipment of the series in one or two days.
The ODI series will begin with February 6.
Initially, the ODI series will begin in Ahmedabad, the second odi must be played in Jaipur on February 9, and the third odi must be played in Kolkata on February 12.
The T20 Internations series are scheduled to be played in Cuttack, Visakhapatnam, and Thiruvananthapuram respectively.
