Prayagraj: Naini’s Central Prison authorities have made a negative RT-PCR report for visitors who arrive at Rakshabandhan to tie Rakhis or make them tied to their brothers and sisters in prison.
Senior prison overse of the center of Naini, PN Pandey told Ti, “to follow the Covid protocol tightly, we have decided to only allow two people from family to fulfill inmates.” He added, “In Rakshabandhan, only a member of a female family who was allowed to meet my brothers who lodged in prison.” Likewise, the brothers will be allowed to meet their sisters who nest in Naini’s center prison.
Most importantly, only two family members who were allowed to enter the prison spot and they must bring a negative RT-PCR report (which is at least 72 hours).
Without a negative RT-PCR report, family members will not be allowed to enter the prison spot.
Pandey, meanwhile, said that these steps would not only help the authorities, check the spread of Covid-19, but it would also help manage the crowd that arrived at the central prison on the occasion of Rakshabandhan.
