Thiruvananthapuram: The Association of Sainik School’s old boy, Kazhakootam, has declared a sincere appreciation for Education Minister V Sivankutty and MLA Kadakamally Surendran to visit their alma mater to sort out the financial crisis faced by school.
According to press notes, the old world loys were destroyed to hear about the non-payment of salary and retirement to his staff.
Even though they were aware of financial difficulties, they hoped the problem was resolved after they rallied last year to appeal to CM, then the Minister of FM and education for assistance, resulted in government approval for the signing of the MOA with the central government.
It is very sad to know that procedural delays have survived for a full year towards this situation.
The school has a deficit since 2012 and ran using the reserve fund and distributed student contributions.
The old boy’s children with enthusiasm looking forward to the signing of the MOA who would put this problem and schools function in a healthy way, the release said.
