LONDON: India women’s all-rounder Deepti Sharma has said she always wanted to play with the Evaluation format once she started playing cricket to the nation.
Deepti produced her debut at the format against England a week after India locked horns with all the hosts at a one time game.
Deepti reported the atmosphere was”surreal” if she chose to live her fantasy of playing Test cricket for India.
“Once I began playing for the nation, I wondered exactly what it meant just like playing with the longer format of this match, always wished to overlook the whites,” Deepti explained in a tweet.
“I eventually got to live my fantasy.
The atmosphere was surreal, could not have asked for much more.
Grateful to staff and everybody,” she added.
Deepti played with a bang of 54 runs in the second innings of this one-off Evaluation while Sneh Rana and Taniya Bhatia played unbeaten cries of 80 and 44 respectively since India was able to walk off with a draw against England.
The left handed batter Deepti had been promoted to number three in the second innings and she struck a gutsy fifty to provide India a great beginning in the next innings.
Speaking about her experience of enjoying with her very first Test match, Deepti explained:”Obviously a Test match takes a good deal of patience equally in batting and bowling.
I received a great deal of messages out of my house and my father, this game has been really unique for me.
Every member from the group encouraged me personally Ramesh Powar sir let me in my life.” At the next innings, Deepti stitched with a partnership of 70 conducts using Shafali Verma to the next wicket.
This rack helped India get off to a constant start and this place England bowlers marginally about the backfoot.
England and India will soon go back to the area on June 27 for its very first match at a three-match ODI series.
