Prasagraj: Following the Decree of the University Grant (UGC) commission in which the decision of the peak decision-making of higher education in the country has decided not to conduct universities in the Central Entered Test Center (CUCET) at all central universities (CU) in sessions 2021-22, Allahabad University will make acceptance for all courses on the campus itself.
Previously, UGC decided to recognize the various courses through Cucet which will be carried out by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
This is the reason that the university began preparing an examination in professional courses except for regular courses of undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
After the recent UGC decision, now AU will state the schedule to enter for all courses on campus, including UG, PG and professional courses.
Previously, when there was a delay from UGC because it instructed the central universities in terms of conducting a shared entrance test, the AU authorities had floated tenders to do entrance tests for professional courses.
“However, we have made provisions in previous hovering tenders to do the entrance test for all other courses too.
Now after UGC decides not to do cucet, we have saved about ten days valuable time because the same tender will serve our purpose and we hope That the AU will meet the deadline to complete acceptance on October 1, “said the Intellee cell director, Prof.
Ir Siddiqui.
Even though there was still time for the opening of the tender, the source told toi that the AU could declare the acceptance schedule around 10 August and because there was enough delay in the acceptance process, the time to apply for different courses in UG, PG and professional courses would be shorter than that provided in previous years.
“If the situation remains safe, the last date to close the application can be around 20-22 August and the entrance test can be made in mid-September and the results can be stated in ten more days or more.
AU will be able to complete the reception process around the first or second week of October” , said one of the Senior AU Faculty members who clo against related to reception on campus for the past years.
However, those related to preparation for receiving on campus worried the third wave of pandemics and believed that the AU could do the entrance test, both in offline and online mode, only if the situation was conducive.
