Melbourne: Australian Pacer Nathan Ellis has landed the IPL contract ahead of the Leg of the League in the UAE after being named a trip on the national team for the T20 World Cup.
“Ellis was chased by three IPL franchises for the coming tournament before agreeing to the requirements with the unnamed team on Thursday night,” said report on Cricket.com.au.
Earlier on Thursday, Ellis was 26 years old named as one of three Australian reserve players for the upcoming T20 World Cup, who will take the IPL.
The development came less than two weeks after he took a hat-trick on his international debut against Bangladesh in Dhaka.
The right IPL Fast Bowler agreement is subject to the agreement of the Australian Cricket which is likely to give him a chance.
His gawit against Bangladesh included Mahdmullah, Mehidy Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman of the last three balls of the innings as he became the first Cricketer to take a hat-trick on the T20i debut.
He joined Brett Lee and Ashton to become the third Australia to take a hat-trick in the T20 international match.
Ellis was not sold at the player auction in January.
