Karachi: Head of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Ramiz King has said that Babar Azam captain and head coach while SAQLAIN MUSHTAQ has recommended a foreign coach for the national team.
Even Wicketkeeper’s dough Mohammad Rizwan supports bringing experts from abroad.
“During my discussion with Babar, Rizwan and then SAQLain they all said it would be better to integrate a foreign coach in the national team dressing room,” said the former test captain.
The King has brought Matthew Australia and Vernon Philander Africa as a batting and bowling consultant in the Pakistani dressing room for the T20 World Cup where the team is missing in the semi-finals until finally the Australian Champions after remaining unbeaten in the Super-12 stage.
The king said his view, which he conveyed to the trio, is that more local coaches must be with the team about the away tour so they have the opportunity to take care of themselves and get experience and exposure.
“My thinking is also that you only need regular coaches if you want to have the best dressing room environment and I think we already have it on our team.” He also revealed that he deliberately did not appoint a fully supportive supporting technical coach staff for Bangladesh and a series of houses against West Indies recently because he wanted to see the team stand alone with his own thoughts with his own thoughts.
“I believe that a player only achieves greatness in a team when he has to work hard in a difficult situation to do without support.” PCB has been advertised for the position of five trainers including coaches hitting power-hitting and coach head of the high performance center, the position left is empty after the resignation of Grant Bradburn New Zealand.
After the king became the chairman of the PCB, the head coach of the Pakistani team since the end of 2019, Misbah-ul-Haq and Bowling Coach Waqar Younis, resigned after returning from the West Indies tour and just before the T20 World Cup.
