Mumbai: almost a year after it appeared that BCCI – in his first great staff port since the Covid outbreak – has decided not to update the annual contract of 11 coaches at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), including five retired Indian players.
-Ramesh Powar, SS Das, Hrishikesh Kanitkar, Subroto Banerjee and Sujith SomSuntar – Cricket’s body in recruitment mode again.
After extending the time limit to submit the position of the ‘Head of Cricket’ at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) until August 31, BCCI has invited applications for Pos Batting, Bowling (Fast & Spin Bowling), training coaches and ‘chief cricket education’ at NCA, at NCA its website.
The last date to apply for all other training positions is September 10.
This is a clear signal that NCA, after the period is not active because of the locking caused by Covid on both waves, in full functional mode.
Recently conducted a level 2 hybris course ‘for cricket coaches, and among the participants was the former Indian racer and brother Irfan and Yusuf Pathhan, opening former Indian and Selector Devang Gandhi, Abhishek Naga, Ashok Dinda, Jammu & Kashmir All- Parveez Rasool and the Ojha Naman.
Post an eight-day course at the location, Irfan Pathhan told Crictracker that the best thing to happen to Indian cricket was the former Indian captain Dravid took the role of head coach at NCA.
Dravid is the only one who has registered for the head of a cricket work in NCA so far.
The development has ended all speculations about him replacing Ravi Shastri as head coach of the senior national side after the T20 World Cup in November.
The age limit for all this Job Vacancies at NCA is 60.
Kanitkar and Shiv Sundar Das are batter coaches in NCA, while Powar (Spin) and Banerjee (speed) are Bowling coaches in NCA, while Somasundar is currently ‘head of cricket education.
‘Powar is now the head coach of the Indian women’s team, while the watershed is a team binder coach.
