Patna: Overall 3,953 people have been arrested in 29,678 attacks conducted on smugglers of liquor in the state between 1 and 12 February, the Commissioner of Excise B Kartikey Dhanji to the media on Monday.
He said 60,923 liters of City Countrymade and 53,706 Liter IMF had been restored and 510 vehicles used in liquor transportation were confiscated during this period.
“Intensive drives are being carried out on the train and checkpost to stop supply of liquor.
Raids is also being carried out through drones in Diarra and forest areas where raids cannot reach previously,” Dhanji said.
Providing Details, Dhanji said 554 attacks had been carried out by 17 drones in Patna, Vaishali, Suggestions, Bhojpur, West Champaran, Champaran East, Begusarai, Khagaria, Munger, Bhagalpur, Kishanganj Regency and Supaul and 131 cases registered.
“In operation, a total of 4,84,615kg of Java or the Mahua and 1,62,592 liters of liquor have been destroyed,” he said.
“A total of 17,340 attacks have been made in the past week, including 5,675 raids by excise officials and 11,665 by the police department.
A total of 2,043 cases have been registered under the Prohibition Act, including 537 cases submitted by the Department and 1,506 by the Police Department.
Overall 2,318 was accused of being captured and 41721.77 liters of Countrymade fluid and 22493.30 Liters of the IMF were confiscated during this period, “Dhanji said.
He said the district Cum collector registrants had been ordered by the department to destroy documents that did not register 4.7 lakh cases, which have completed a period two years before 2020.
“The necessary actions are being taken by the department for tender publications to digitalize documents from 1950 Until 1995.
After digitizing, the department will have convenience in making notes related to documents available for the earliest general public, “he said.
