Block Head Poll: 59 Candidates in a commotion for 23 seats in Prayagraj

Prasagraj: Candidate for the Sawadi Party (SP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) submitted a nominated paper for the ‘Block Pramukh’ post at 23 and 21 blocks, from the Prayagraj district in the Development Office in question.
The nomination process began at 11 in the morning and the candidate submitted their nomination until 3am.
Adequate security arrangements made in all 23 block offices concerned and candidates were asked to attend the Covid-19 protocol strictly.

SP District spokesman Daan Bahadur “Madhur” told TII that the party had deployed candidates for the Pramukh block post on all 23 blocks.
He also claimed that the Indra Nath Mishra Party candidate would be declared the winner without a poll from the Kaudhiyara Block on Friday when BJP candidate failed to get supporters (Samarthak) and Proposer (Prastavak) from the same block.
He also said that only two people, including Indra Nath Mishra, and the close relatives of Asta Mishra, handed over their nomination and Asta Mishra would pull her name on Friday.
With this, the Indra Nath Mishra Party candidate will be declared the winner without being removed.
Madhur said Mishra would be elected the third head block from the Kaudhiyara block.
He was also elected in 1988 and 1995.
Meanwhile, SP District President Yogesh Chandra Yadav said, “SP will appear as a majority block if the poll is done in a fair way.” However, he said the delegation of party leaders on Thursday also met the district authorities and demanded to change the voting center in the Shringverpur block.
Yadav said the BJP candidate from the Shringverpur block, Ram Chandra Fauji must be held under the house on a vote day because his presence could affect voters.
Meanwhile, BJP candidates have submitted their nomination at 21 blocks and left one block for the APNA Dal (s) alliance partner.
MP (Phulpur) Keshri Devi Patel said the party candidate would succeed at all 21 blocks after the results were stated.
BJP MP (Allahabad) Rita Bahuguna Joshi also gave blessings for all party candidates to register victory in the poll.
BJP District spokesman Pawan Srivastav said the party would win all 21 head block posts on July 10.
All candidates have discussed strategies with senior party leaders and focused only to register victory, he added.
Regarding the issue of Nomination Kaudhiyara, Srivastava said SP supporters deliberately stopped the proposed party candidates and supporters and party leaders would register cases in the same case.
