Canberra: Senior Pacer Mitchell Starc claimed the first medal of Allan Border while Ashleigh Gardner became the first adat to win the birthday of Belinda Clarke, the top two awards at the Cricket Australia (CA) award.
Starc is respected because of his strong appearance in the three game formats.
He was only a fifth bowler in 22 years to win awards.
Gardener also pocketed recognition for the first time.

“I have never dreamed of winning this award.
When I received a call I was really surprised,” Gardner told the Seven Channel.
“I’m still shocked.
