New Delhi: Indian cricket board (BCCI) has decided to send Prithvi Shaw and Yadav to England as a backup for the five-test series after Shubman Gill, Washington Sundar and Avesh Khan returned due to injury.
Toi has learned that a call on Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s participation in the test cricket will be taken after the T20 World Cup in October-Nov.
Team management has been interested in utilizing his services before leaving for England to play the final world test championship last month and his name as a substitute also discussed.
“The council discussed with Bhuvneshwar.
It was decided that he would not be encouraged to play the test cricket before the T20 World Cup.
He must first play three-four first-class matches.
He hasn’t played a longer format for more than three years.
There is a possibility Strike if he suddenly resumes playing crickets test, “said a BCCI Top Toi official.
The possibility of calling about bhuvneshwar will be taken before touring South Africa in December.
As for Prithvi and Surya, their travel logistics are being worked on.
