Prasagraj: Sangam City roadside sellers will soon be able to sigh with relief because the district administration will make 18 seller zones in different areas in the city.
Developed by the District Urban Development Agency (Duda) and the ProAgraj Municipal Corporation (PMC), the seller zone will provide this roadside vendor where they can sell their products by paying nominal fees to the authorities.
The PMC authorities have chosen 18 sites to develop the seller zone.
For the construction of the vending zone, the widower has submitted a proposal to the government to be discussed at the next city seller’s committee meeting, scheduled for July 20 and 21.
After the proposal was approved by the Committee, working to develop this seller the zone will begin.
Duda Project Officer Vartika Singh said, “Vending zone will have all the facilities needed by vendors including public toilets, sufficient lighting, water and trash cans to collect garbage.
City roadside vendors will be given space in this seller zone based on the lottery system .
“The district government has gave sanctions a number of seven lakh Rs to develop ‘modern seller zones’ in front of the Civil Local Location BSNL office.
The area where the zone of the vending zone will be developed including a 100 meter road stretch, starting from IIIT – intersection to Shambhu Nath College, stretch of road in addition to medical intersections, Jalan Drumond and Sarojani Naidu Road, Meerapur and Rasulpur Sabji Bath, Vegetable Market Govindpur, Iswar Suggestion Degree College, Teliyarganj Road- Govindpur Turning, Market from Phaphamau to Shantipuram and in front of PD Tandon Park.
Such zones will also be developed in Elgin Road, in addition to the main post office, both old bridge banks on Yamuna (City and Naini), the road near the Naini prison and in the PDA Naini colony.
Developing this seller zone is an important step to make Sangam City into a smart city.
After the roadside vendor will get space, based on the lottery system through the district administration, the threat of facing the anger of the Demolition Drive will not disturb them.
City to have 18 seller zones for vendors
