Prayagraj: The Prayagraj ‘Smart City’ will soon boast a multi-purpose multi-purpose multi-purpose complex of RS 32 crores (auditorium) with a total seating capacity of 1,500 individuals, special parking lots and other modern facilities.
Prepared under the City City project, the authority of the Development Authority Prayagraj (PDA) has floated tenders for the construction of the auditorium, which will be built near Pravesh Bhawan from Allahabad University.
“As part of our efforts to provide top-class facilities in Smart Prayagraj City, this new advanced multicultural complex is being built with an estimated cost around RS 32 Crores.
After ready, it will be able to play hosts for various cultural, social and academic events in addition to exhibitions .
This will have all modern facilities including the green space and its own parking facilities.
Solar panels will also be provided on the roof-top, “said Sanjay Goyal Division Commissioner, who is also the Chair of the Smart Prayagraj City Council.
Giving details of this ambitious project, the Head of the PDA Engineer Manoj Mishra on Thursday told TI, “The air-conditioned auditorium that is fully centralized will be distributed in an overall area of 12,000 square meters with a built-up area of around 2,500 square meters.
Seating settings will be spread on two floors, the ground floor will have around 900 seats while the first floor (balcony) will have 600 seats.
In addition, the basement will have parking facilities for more than 250 vehicles along with open parking for Vvips.
“Officials further added That there will be two ‘green rooms’ in the auditorium, each one for men and women.
“The multi-purpose cultural complex will also have an open theater with seating capacity of around 300 individuals.
Along with this, there will be two conference rooms, each of which has a seating capacity of 250 individuals.
This complex will also have two exhibition space facilities to accommodate Different city exhibitions, “Mishra said.
The main complex stage will also be large, distributed in an area of around 200 square meters and there will be complete digital backup for electronic gadgets to be used for any function.
The lighting system will be suitable for normal conferences for theater and drama shows.
Sound systems, side screens, displays, overhead projectors, etc., there will also be in conjunction with other advanced facilities provided in the complex.
After completion, the complex will be used for all functions and events of government and semi-government.
Although, it has not been decided to who will maintain the complex, the source said the trust that has the main part of the AU representation will be formed for that purpose.
