Lucknow: A Congress leader was arrested on charges of land fraud, extortion and issued the threat of death to builders in Wazirganj on Sunday.
The defendant, Mohammed Rafiq aka Allu Miyan from Gosainganj, was the native of the Sultanpur District.
The police said Rafiq was running around for the past few months after FIR was submitted against him.
He was arrested after the court issued an unstrangeable warrant.
In a statement, the congress accused Rafiq framed by the police on the orders of the state government.
ADCP, West Zone, Chiranjeev Sinha said, “Rafiq was used to introduce himself as an active member of the Congress Party.
He used to extort the money from the builder and was also involved in the purchase of land trapped in legal disputes.” On May 8, Vaibhav Srivastava from Badi times In Kaiserbagh had submitted a case against Mohammed Rafiq, his wife Mehrunnisa and their son Mohammed Adil Rasheed, all gosainganj, accused them of falsifying government documents.
Vaibhav said he worked as a builder in a partnership with Mohammed Mazin Khan from Chowk.
“Vaibhav and his colleagues got land registered in their name and began working in Kargapapur.
However, Rafiq and his son showed them the fake registry (number 154 signed in 1990) on behalf of Meharunnisa.
The registry was carried out by Mamta Sahkari Grih Nirman Ltd., Khurram Nagar.
Vaibhav knows that Mamta Sahkari Grih Nirman Ltd has a plot number 152, 155 and 156 alone and the paper shown by Rafiq and the child is false, “Sinha said.
Meanwhile, Congress spokesman Anshu Awasthi said, “Allu Miyan is the leader of the Congress and framed by the police on the orders of the state government.
He has financial disputes and property with builders.
This is a civil problem and not a criminal case.”
