Mangaluru: The removal of forest officers (RFO) which was attached to the forest mobile team in Udupi had triggered controversy in Kannada Dakshina.
In this connection, MLA U T Khader has demanded that the forestry Department of Forestry forces investigate the alleged cuts of hundreds of trees in the Bendangady Taluk reserve forest.
He told the media here on Saturday, that a forest officer was transferred after the trees were illegally cut.
“The government must consider the case of illegal logging seriously, and ordered an investigation.
Even though more than 500 trees from the Reserve Forests are cut down, only 80 logs are found.

The Federation National Environmental Federation (NECF) of State Secretary Shashidhar Shetty said more than 380 trees had recently disappeared from the forest area which was considered in beltangady.
Officers have won trucks and three people from the Ministry of Forestry, including an observer, suspended.
He was transferred after all of these developments.
“There are only a few sincere forest officers left in the Ministry of Forestry.
Politicians do not let them work.
We will fight for a female officer until he becomes justice,” he said.
Meanwhile, two letters had become a viral in connection with the transfer – one by Belthangady Mla Poonja Harish, where he had requested cm to move it, and other letters, reportedly written by Sandhya to the Billava organization, accused him of being transferred because of the political vendetta.

Mla Poonja has refused to comment on this problem.
Officers, who came from Beltangady, were recently transferred to the Forest Training Institute in Bidar.
The sources of the forest department said officers were transferred after he submitted a report on the cutting of illegal trees.
