Kolkata: Vote counting for 108 cities that will conduct a poll on February 27 will be held on March 2, announcing the West Bengal Election Commission on Wednesday.
“Because of being satisfied that in the 108th city general election of the city, 2022 vote counts could not be easily done immediately after the closing of polls at the polls as stipulated in section 12 of the West Bengal City Election Act, 1994 for the constituency under the city – The city recorded above, the West Bengal Country Election Commission, in carrying out power was invited by Article 243ZA (i) India’s constitution and in accordance with the provisions to rule 41 West Bengal Municipality (election behavior) rules, 1995 (hereinafter referred to as the rule), with this Directing that the concerned city return officer will arrange a strong room to save EVMS and vote count at 02.03.2022 in the city center in each of them to be repaired and notified by them in terms of 61B rules of the rule, “said the Election Commission.
