Three other gang members were also arrested and returned to police custody.
The police said that Mukesh and Pankaj were used to carry out receptions before carrying out robbery.
After they judge the situation, they gathered other gang members to carry out robbery.
Ramesh was also arrested when he used to help the duo to hide and protect him so as not to be arrested.
“Ramesh has also been ordered under special law because it helps two accused of another,” said Deputy Police Inspector Dr.
Right Desai.
“We argued before the court that the defendant was the kingpin and they used to plan a robbery by identifying which places to be targeted and how the crime must be carried out,” said the Pandya Special Prosecutor Raghuvir Pandya.
He added that this was the first case where robbers had been ordered under the Gujcoc Act.
