Dar Cop died when the pistol misfires when cleaning

Davanagere: A 28-year-old drill drill assistant, which was attached to the District Armed Unit (DAR) here, was killed when a pynulous pistol while being cleaned on Monday.
The deceased is Chetan, 28, a village resident in Channagiri Taluk Davanagere district.
He survived his pregnant wife, a five-year-old son, younger brother and sister and mother.
He has joined the unit in 2012, and has become a single bread winner for the family.
His death which suddenly surprised his family, said his colleagues.
After shooting practice, Chethan returned to the headquarters located near Aruna Talkies here.
“This is a routine to clean up weapons after shooting practice,” said SP C B Ryshyanth.
A bullet did not annoy from a 9mm gun while Chetan stood near the place cleaned by others.
After the bullet pierced the neck of Chetan, he fell on the ground.
Even though he rushed to the nearest hospital, the doctors stated he was taken dead.
Range Ravi and Ryshyanth visited the place and ordered an incident investigation.
Police Extensions Davanagere have ordered a case.
Further investigation is active.
