Delhi: a signal-free trip possibility in Mathura Road at the end of Feb

New Delhi: The Public Works Department is trying to complete underpasses in Mathura Road and Commuters may get the main pause at the end of February.
Stretching 3 km ranging from Ito Skywalk to Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, will be signal freely when working on two of the four underpasses on the road completed.
“Working on all four underpasses is almost complete, but the target is to finish the project early even though there are still some challenges,” said a PWD official who oversees the project.
Under the project, working on the first underpass between Sundar Nagar and Kaka Nagar was completed, while some work still remained at the second underpass near the Peer Matka temple.
This is mainly because the Delhi Jal Board pipe is being moved, and this will take about two weeks.
The third underpass is being built near the crossing of traffic in the Supreme Court, where most work is completed and is expected to be ready at the end of this month.
The fourth underpass near Bhairon Marg near the Delhi Zoo was intended for motorists who came from Kaka Nagar and headed for the Delhi High Court.
At present, there are six traffic lights that stop in this section, and, according to PWD, these lights mean that the rider takes 15-20 minutes to drive from Ito to Sundar Nagar through the Delhi zoo and pass Sundar Nagar.
This time it will be cut more than half after underpass is ready to be used for the public.
The construction tire was forced by the Delhi government in November as a step to checking air pollution that deteriorated to stop all activities at the location of this project, delaying their solution.
The problem of procuring Bituminous materials for road carpets is also a major obstacle in the completion of these projects on time.
