Demanding work security, guest lecturers threaten to boycott class

Dharwad: With the state government is not ready to fill empty lecturer posts in responsible governments and colleges, universities are run with the help of guest lecturers paid by a total of 12,000 per month.
This practice has become a fashion for more than 10 years.
It has affected the quality of teaching and has also placed the career of guest lecturers and students in danger.
There are around 14,000 guest lecturers waiting for work security.
They have launched a protest sitting at Dharwad and in front of Suvarna Vidhana Soudha in Bellagavi since December 10.
Guest lecturer who began with Honorarium Rs 2,000 per month 10 years which now gets Rs 11,000 per month.
“We join the hope that our services will be arranged when we work at a clear job.
Now we have crossed the age limit and there is no service security,” said a guest lecturer.

In accordance with its formula, those who have completed 10 years of service will get a salary of Rs 35,000 per month for 12 months while they with less than 10 years of service will be paid at Rs 25,000 per month for 12 months.
Both of them will get a 3% salary increase every year and one lump sum from RS 5 Lakh at retirement.
The lecturer who was annoyed with the threat of Ashwathnarayan that legal action would begin if the lecturer did not involve the class.
“The temporary government that allows the recruitment of lecturers must relax the age limit and provide the material material.
The government does not have the political will to provide work security to us and try to intimidate us.
We also know the law,” said Hanumantgouda Kalmani, leader of the Guest Lecturer Association.
BJP MLC SV Square said he had attracted the attention of the Ministers of Higher Education about the fate of the guest lecturer and, the Minister had promised to form a committee to see problems and suggest repair measures.
The government is expected to come out with a solution for a month, Sermitanur said and urged guest lecturers to call for protests and return to class.
