Colombo: India India standing ball captain Shikhar Dhawan has completed 10,000 runs as an opening in international cricket.
Batsman left hand achieved an achievement against Sri Lanka in the first ODI of the three matches here at R Premadasa Stadium on Sunday.
Dhawan also became the tenth of Indian Batsman to score 6000 Run in a 50 over format.
Dhawan (86 *) and Ishan Kishan (59) starred in the stick when India defeated Sri Lanka with seven numbers.
The second odi will now be played on Tuesday.

Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaska, and Rohit Sharma are four other Indian Batsman who scored more than 10,000 runs as openers in international cricket.
Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, Ms Dhoni, Mohamed Azharuddin, Rohit Sharma, Yuvraj Singh and Sehwag are nine other batsmen who have scored more than 6000 runs in ODI format.
