Bristol: India and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Batsman goalkeeper Dinesh Karthik on Sunday apologized for his sexist comments that he made in the air for the second odi between Sri Lanka and England.
Karthik, which is in the UK for a comment assignment, has made a comparison between the bat cricket and “neighbor’s wife” on Thursday.
“Batsmen and don’t like bats, they go hand in hand.
Most of the dough doesn’t seem to like their bats.
They are either like other people’s bats.
Bat like a neighbor’s wife.
They always feel better,” The former Captain KKR has said.
Following comments in the air, India Batsman was criticized on social media and on Sunday Karthik while commenting on sky sports during the third odi between England and Sri Lanka appeared with an apology.
“I want to apologize for what happened last match.
That’s what I meant.
I just was wrong.
I apologize to everyone.
This is definitely not the right thing to say,” Karthik said.
“I’m really sorry that it shouldn’t happen again.
I got a lot of sticks from my wife and my mother to say that,” he added.
Karthik also commented on the WTC final which had just been concluded.
Batsman goalkeeper along with the former Indian Skipper Sunil Gavascar is part of the English comment team.
