Dubai: Australian coach Justin Langer considers batting aggressive and fearless will hold the key in the T20 World Cup final against New Zealand.
Australia and New Zealand will be squared in the World Cup final on Sunday at Dubai’s Cricket International Stadium.
“I mean, that’s what you call feared cricket and if we will win this tournament, we must continue the way we play from Bangladesh,” stuff.co.nz quoted langer.
“So the first or second bat that fearless or aggressive blow will be very important,” he added.
Matthew Wade and Marcus Stoinis have played an extraordinary innings against Pakistan to hand over a victory that is not possible against Pakistan in the semi-finals.
“It is very important we have a mindset whether we bat or bowl first that we can win from any situation.
The mindset will be important, you cannot deny statistics but we need a mindset,” said the Australian coach.
“There is a real tranquility in the group.
They really support themselves.
They are very ready.
They have real confidence now and there is only a very good feeling in the group,” he added.
Australia and New Zealand have never won the T20 World Cup, and the tournament is guaranteed to have a new winner this time.
