Dharwad: Records the People’s singer and Scholar Basalingayya Hiremate died in a private hospital in Bengaluru on Sunday.
He is 63 years old.

Basalingayya was credited with popularizing the People’s Game Shri Krishna Parijata throughout the world by appearing in various countries.
He has expertise in various forms of folk art such as’ dodata ‘,’ Sannata, ‘and’ Bayalata.
“The Karnataka government has respected him with RajyotsaVA Award.
The remnants of mortal basalingayya are stored for the public to respect them at his residence in Saptapur in Dharwad.
