Prayagraj: After keeping the increase in the past 24 hours, the Ganges and Yamuna rivers have crossed the danger level (84.73 meters) in the city on Monday morning.
With water it still rises on the river and floods fresh areas, district administration evacuates the affected family and moves them to safer places and in flood assistance camps.
The water level in the Ganges River (as recorded at 8 am) at Phaphamau was 85.08 meters when Chhatnag, it was 84.29 meters.
Likewise, the water level in the Yamuna River in Nini was recorded at 84.90 meters.
Because water rose, the water level in all three river points (as recorded at 10 am) increased to 85.13 meters in Phohamau and 84.36 meters in Chhatnag.
Yamuna water level is recorded at 84.96 meters.
Water levels increase with a 5cm level in Phaphamau, 7cm in Chhatnag and 6cm in Nini (Yamuna).
With the increasing volume of water in the river, flood water has entered several areas such as Ganga Nagar, Nevada, Ashok Nagar, buy Gaon, part of Rajapur, Salori, Bada and Chota Baghara, Badra and Sebohi, Nagvasi, and others.
Likewise because of the increase in water levels in Yamuna, flood water has reached Baradari on the edge of Yamuna in Balughat.
When some areas are based on floods, several flood assistance camps have been compiled by administration that provides facilities for flood-affected people.
Meanwhile, administration and NDRF (National Disaster Relief Style) helps locals to move to safer places and maintain strict surprises at the flood level.
“We keep watches close on the surface of the water and we help locals”, said the Department of Irrigation Executive Engineer, Brijesh Kumar Verma.
