Prasagraj: After 24 hours of relief, officials of the district authorities on Wednesday sounded a warning because the ganga water level and Yamuna would rise after the release of 18 lakh Air Cusec to the River Chambal.
Officials notify that the water released will reach the city on August 7.
After this, all HR concerned has been asked to remain vigilant in their respective shows and also to adopt corrective steps to check the situation.
However, both Ganga and Yamuna, on Wednesday showed an increasing trend in the city of Sangam.
The ganga water level in Phaphamau and Chatnag showed the trend of +4 cms and +20 cms respectively on Wednesday night while the level of Yamuna River in Naini also recorded an increase trend of +14 cms.
Adm (Finance and Revenue) MP Singh told the Toi that the height of Ganga and Yamuna water would increase in the coming days because around 18 lakh cusec water was released into the Chambal River.
The water released will reach Yamuna on August 7.
He said the two rivers on Wednesday showed an increasing trend.
The ganga level was recorded at 80.19m and 79.36 m in Phaphamau and Ghhatnag each on Wednesday.
Likewise, the surface of the Yamuna water in Naini was 79.79m and still published.
The danger level of the two rivers is 84.73 meters.
Singh, meanwhile, said the ganga water level at Phaphamau and Chhatnag showed a trend of increase + 4cms and +20 cm on both sites in the last four hours while the level of the Yamuna River in Naini also increased at +20 cms.
He, however, said the close watch on developments and corrective measures had begun if the second level of the river increased in the coming days.
