BELOGIVIVI: The Government Government has given approval for the country to buy gram black and green from farmers.
According to orders by the state government, the procurement center in Gadag, Dharwad, Kalaburagi, Yadgir, Bidar, Dotel, Vijayapura and MySuru will buy gram black to 10,000 tons with Rs 6,300 per quintal.
The government has stated that 0.4 lakh from the estimated results of the hectare of land cultivated by 0.8 lakh.
On the market, products are sold below Rs 6,300.
The government will also buy Green Gram from farmers in Haveri, Tumkur, Bagalkot, Koppal and Chitradurga.
The Agriculture Department expects 1.2 lakh tons of harvest from 3.5 lakh hectares of cultivated land.
The center will buy 30,000 tons at Rs 7,275 per quintal.
The state has directed farmers to register for a scheme within 45 days from the date of order and purchase will be completed in 90 days.
The country will only buy a fair average quality class.
The maximum amount of urad that will be purchased per acre is 3 quintals and 6 quintals from each farmer.
For Green Gram, the maximum amount is 4 quintals per acre and 6 quintals from each farmer.
