Cardiff: Central Central Batsman Pakistan Haris Sohail has been ruled out from three Series ODI three matches against England due to a hamstring injury, the country’s cricket council announced on Thursday.
MRI’s scan conducted on Wednesday revealed that the 32-year-old child had a three-level water injury, which he had taken during the training session in the derby last week.
“I am looking forward to ODI people as part of my goal to contribute to the success of the party and also cement my position on the side,” Sohail said.
“In this background, I was disappointed that my tour was cut off, but I will return to Lahore and undergo a rehabilitation program so that I can fully recover for the 2021-22 season,” he added.
Pakistan will take English hosts in three Odis and as many as T20IS, starting on Thursday.
Sohail, chosen for ODI, will return to Pakistan to undergo a rehabilitation program at the National High Performance Center in Lahore.
The PCB medical panel has advised the middle-hand middle batsman to undergo a four-week rehabilitation program before re-assessment was carried out.
After a tour of England, Pakistan is scheduled to leave for West Indies on July 21 where they will play five T20IS and two tests from July 27 to August 24.
