Hubballi: Demanding the government hold the Mayor’s polls for Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC), members of the City District Congress Committee held unique protests by installing former CM Jagadish Shettar as Mayor and Mla Arvind Bellad as Deputy Mayor, here on Tuesday.

While one of them wore a Shettar mask, which is also Hubballi-Dharwad Central Mla, the other wore Hubballi-Dharwad West Mla Mlast Mla Arvind Bellad.
Other congress workers organized the mock swearing-up ceremony and manage the oath to the duo.leater, leaders such as Altaf Hallur, Deepak Chinchore, Rajat Ullagaddimath, Nagaraj Gouri, Swati Mujahid and Shahan Mujahid pressed the government to hold HDMC selection.
“The government and BJP MLA deliberately postponed the process to prevent the chosen corporator to get power,” he added.
