HubbalLi: The authority of the Development of Urban Hubballi-Dharwad (HDUDA) will launch an impulse to destroy the illegal layout in Hubballi and Dharwad from Friday.
HDuda has destroyed hundreds of illegal layouts in the first and second phase.
Friday is the beginning of the third stage.
Nagesh Kalaburagi, President of HDuda, told TII that there were many illegal layouts in twin cities and it also caused a big loss for HDuda in terms of income.
“I have started targeting illegal layout after taking over as president.
In the past six months, we have launched a drive in two phases and we have destroyed 177 illegal layouts in Hubbballi and Dharwad.
Now, we are ready to launch the third phase demolition of illegal layout from January 28, “he said.
“Our official team will also ask police assistance to prevent unwaward incidents during demolition and I will personally monitor the drive,” he added.
“We have also identified ninety illegal layouts that will be destroyed in the third phase.
From them, 36 layout is built on 104 hectares in Dharwad.
We will first launch the drive in Dharwad and then start from Hubballi.
In the next week , We will delete all 90 illegal layouts, “he said.
“We have served notice to all the owners who care but they do not reply to our notifications and have not yet advanced to change their illegal layout for legal with the following norms set by the government.
Therefore, we will start demolition of such layouts,” he said .
He showed that most owners developed illegal layout on 3-12 hectares without participating in government norms.
“According to government norms, landowners must record 10% of land for gardens, 5% for CA (Amenties Civic), and 30% for road construction.
In addition, they must change their land into Na (non-agricultural) sites by paying fees And must take the layout approval of HDuda and get a plot registered in the sub-registrar office by paying the costs set by the government.
For all of these works, landowners must spend at least Rs 6-7 lakh per acre to build a legal layout, But most of the owners have thrown all these norms into the wind and start building illegal layout.
After we started the Demolition drive, the number of applications for land approval has increased now, “he said.
“On Friday, we will destroy some illegal layouts in Hosayallapur.
We will remove electricity poles, water pipes, and other infrastructure developed in illegal layout during the trip,” he added.
