Chitradurga: Hiriyur supporters BJP Mla Poornima Srinivas protested and blocked the Pune-Bengaluru highway in Hiriyur on Wednesday, after parliamentary members failed to find a place in the Basavaraj Bommai cabinet.
The agitators blocked national highways for more than half an hour and raised slogans to the central and state government to deny places in the only MLA of the Yadava community in the state.
Seer threatened to put Seige to Vidhana Soudham while, The Seer of Yadavananda Mutt in Chitradurga, Krishna Yadavananda Swami, threatened to surround Vidhana Soudha if Poornima was not made by the minister.
The foreclenses expressed dissatisfaction with the refusal of the minister’s bed to Poornima and said he would hold a meeting of Yadava’s community leaders in Bengaluru and plan future actions.
