New Delhi: The Indian Cricket team will play 14 T20 internationally and only four tests at home between November 2021 and June 2022 because BCCI announced its international travel plan, which only featured three ODIs.
The team that will visit India for an eight-month period is New Zealand (in November-December), West Indies (in February, 2022), Sri Lanka (February-March 2022) and South Africa (in June 2022).
Among December-January, India will tour South Africa and the IPL will occur between April-May.
Against New Zealand, India will play two tests and three T20IS while West Indies will play three ODI and five T20IS.
Sri Lanka will play two tests and three T20IS while South Africa will come for the shortest tour where they will play five T20IS in a 10-day room.
“We have saved 14 T20IS because we have another T20 World Cup in Australia within one year and we need to have adequate matches before the big event,” said a BCCI official.
The four test matches will be held at Kanpur and Mumbai for the New Zealand series while Bengaluru and Mohali will entertain Sri Lanka in a traditional format.
In accordance with the rotation system, most of the cities will get 17 white ball games that have been scheduled.
Jaipur, Ranchi, Lucknow, Vizag, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Cuttack, Trivandrum, Chennai, Rajkot, Delhi are all suitable.
