Dubai: India Stalwart Virat Kohli defends its second place in the ODI binder of the ICC man behind its decent performance in the South African series which has just concluded.
Kohli, who resigned from the captain of the Indian team test after the away series against South Africa, scored 116 running in the rubber Odi three matches against Proteas, including two centuries.
Another Senior Indian player Rohit Sharma, who has been crowned as a substitute for Kohli in the ODI India team, also maintained his third place even though he did not play in the South African series as he recovered from injury.
Kohli has 836 points ranked to Kitty, while Rohit has 801.
Pakistani captain Babar Azam led the rank of Batting Odi with 873 points.
Rassie van der Dussen South Africa entered the top 10 after a brilliant sightseeing in the series against India.
He rose 10 places to be in no 10 spots with 750 rank points, while his teammate Quinton de Kock, who hit a century in a series against India, also rose four places to occupy the fifth position.
De Kock and Van der Dussen topped the ODI charts with 229 and 218 each, with both players making hundreds of series.
De Kock averaged 76.33 while Van der Dussen scored his goal in 218 which was surprisingly, and the shows had been reflected in the recent ICC ODI rank.
Captain Temba Bavuma, who is the third century in the series against India, also climb 21 places to be placed in 59th place.
