Port of Spain: The ICCE Technical Committee of the U-19 World Cup has approved Kevin Wickham and Nathan Edward as a substitute for Onaje Amory and Jaden Carmichael in the West Indies squad.
Wickham and Edward are a temporary substitute for Amory and Carmichael who have been positively tested for Covid-19 and undergo isolation.
“Covid replacement can be temporary, because once the player has recovered, he will qualify to return to the squad in the position of the player who replaces him,” ICC said in a statement.
Player replacement needs approval of the event technical committee.
