Mangaluru: Union Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, have provided final approval for plastic park settings in Ganjimutt in Dakshina Kannada.
This project will be implemented by the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) entered by the Karnatakaka Industrial Area Development Agency (KIADB) with the total cost of RS 62.8 Crore projects, including RS 31.4 Crore Center Grants.
Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Minister of Union for Chemicals and Fertilizer Bhagwanth Khuba, and Chairman of the Minister of BakeVaraj Bommai, Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said the plastic park that came at 104 hectares would help produce work.
The park for Mangaluru was announced when Ananth Kumar was the Minister of Chemistry and Fertilizer in 2015.
As a Minister, DV Sadandada Gowda has given the principle approval for plastic parks in January 2021, and has directed the Karnataka Department of Trade and Industry to submit a detailed project report on the matter same.
Under the Indian government secretary, Dharam V VIr, said in a letter to N Shivashankara, CEO, Kiadb, that the central grant for this project was subject to compliance with guidelines issued by the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals.
“Kiadb, being the main promoter for this project, will facilitate the implementation of the project, and guarantee financial closure for the project in one year final approval.
The SPV will complete plastic park settings in the time frame provided in the scheme guidelines, unless the extension has been given by the Department of Chemicals And petrochemical.
In terms of this project it does not start within the time period responsible since the date of sanctions, the schematic steering committee can withdraw sanctions, so that limited resources are available under the scheme can be allocated back to other proper projects, “said VIR.
