COLOMBO: A cover conflict between Sri Lankan players along with the federal board has hurt staff morale before a one-way show in Bangladesh beginning Sunday, skipper Kusal Perera stated.
Sri Lanka Cricket have cut costs for 24 nationwide players up to 40% in fresh contracts that have been reversed from the gamers.
Perera said no agreement was reached prior to leaving Bangladesh in which they are supposed to play with three 50 over matches.
“It is going to be a lie to state the cover cut problem will not negatively influence our gamers,” Perera informed an internet media conference Saturday.
“I expect we are going to have the ability to make a deal with the plank on our return.”
He explained the pay structure invented by the board newest cricket manager Tom Moody and prior Sri Lanka skipper Aravinda de Silva was inducing emotional strain for the group.
