The source told Ani that injury occurred after the final world test championship.
“He suffered a Shin injury he knew after the WTC final against New Zealand and would need about eight weeks to recover,” the source explained.
This now means that the management of the Indian team must look forward to the even for Agarwal or Kl Rahul as the second opener with Rohit Sharma.
Gill did not have a great sightseeing in the World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand because he recorded a score of only 28 and 8 Run.
He began with a good start in the first half but failed to turn it into a big score and gave disappointing performance in the second round.
New Zealand won the match by eight goals to take the Mace Home test.
After the amazing debut in the Australian series, Gill had faced a slender patch with a bat and a great score avoided it even in the four match test series against England earlier this year.
