New Delhi: The newly installed Ahmedabad franchise from the Indian Premier League (IPL) is likely to register the friendly Indian team coach Ravi Shastri, Bharat Arun, and R Sridhar for the role of coaching in the 2022 edition of a profitable tournament.
Third – Shastri, Arun, and Sridhar will finish their term as coach of the Indian cricket team after the conclusion of the T20 World Cup which is ongoing in the United Arab Emirates.
And, BCCI has announced the Rahul Dravid as the successor to Shastri.
According to a report about CricBuzz, Shastri has been offered the role of head coach by the Ahmedabad franchise and he also wants to have coaching assignments with the IPL team.
However, Indian coach will only decide the end of the T20 World Cup and do not want a disturbance during the tournament.
If the former Cricketer India accepts the offer, Bharat Arun and R Sridhar will be part of his staff.
The report also stated that the CVC Copitals, the ahmedabad-based franchise promoters were understood to complete the agreement earlier because they wanted to build a team culture from the start.
With the addition of two new teams – Ahmedabad and Lucknow, the IPL will be a 10-team affair from the 2022 season.
The Sanjiv Goenka RPSG group bought the Lucknow franchise for 7090 Crore Rejan while CVC Cottital was awarded the Ahmedabad team for a total of 5625 crores.
The rich league of cash will have a mega auction ahead of the new season.
The existing franchise has been allowed to maintain a maximum of four players while the new team will have the choice to choose three players from outside the auction pool.
