Prayagraj: Even when authorities of Allahabad University (AU) have started the acceptance process for the 2021-22 academic session, the University Professional Study Institute (IPS) has decided to make changes in the courses offered, including closing four vocational.
Course for lack of student interest.
There is no new reception that will be made in this course in this academic session.
However, the Institute has decided to start two newly integrated five-year courses from this session.
Last year, IPS had received a ticket in 13 courses run by it.
However, this year, the application has been invited to enter on 11 courses.
The main reason for the closure of the course is that the interests of students in the old course have declined or the course has begun by a new name.
“Given the new education policy, academic audit work is taking place in the AU and below, it is identified that there are several courses in IPS where the interests of students can almost be ignored and there is a need to start several relevant new and topical courses.

IPS has also decided that the name BVOC (undergraduate in vocational courses) in media studies will now stand up.
This course is now called BVOC in media production.
The online application process to enter this course has also begun.
Courses where the application to enter for the 2021-22 academic session has not been invited by IPS including UG and PG BVOC courses in fashion and technology design, Diploma in fashion design, MVOC nutrition in design and technology.
Likewise, candidates can enter in a new academic session in courses including the Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), BVOC in processing food and technology, BA in media studies, BVOC in media production, BA in fashion design and technology, Master of Computer ( MCA), MSC food applications are invited to enter technology, MVOC in Media Studies, PG Diploma in Computer Applications (PDDCA), Five-Year Technology Program UG & PG PG Integrated, BCA-MCA data science course Integrated five years, etc.
Until last year, IPS had received entry into courses such as the Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), Master of Computer Application (MCA), PG Diploma in Computer Applications (PDDCA), BVOC in food and technology processing, BVOC in media studies, etc.
