Dublin (Ireland): Cricket Ireland on Thursday confirmed that they would play a warm-up match against Scotland and the T20i series of three matches against the UAE at the ICC academy in Dubai as part of the ICC T20 World Cup in Indonesia October.
“This equipment was officially announced by the Emirates Cricket Board – a series of equipment between October 5-10 involving UAE, Ireland, Scotland, Namibia, and Papua Nugher Guinea,” read the official Cricket Ireland statement.
The Irish squad will depart for the UAE on Friday, and will conduct a quarantine of a mandatory six-day hotel before you can start training.
An early 18-player squad was recently announced – this will be reduced to 15 for the T20 World Cup tournament, however, three other players will still travel to the UAE as a backup.
