LONDON: Kevin O’Brien and Paul Stirling opened the way when Ireland won their twenty -20 series against Zimbabwe with a 64-run victory on Thursday.
O’Brien scored 47 and Stirling made 39 in a 89-run partnership that put the foundation of a total of 174-4.
O’Brien and Stirling have been in a very good shape, with the former destroying half a century in the Ireland series leveling victory in the second match and the latter made its first international century in the third match.
Zimbabwe only 110-9 in return when Irish Anamer Mark Adair determined 4-23.
Craig Ervine struggled for his 28th, but Zimbabwe couldn’t stop Ireland secure their biggest margin of victory against the ‘full member’ cricket state at T20 Internationals.
The tourists were hampered by injuries suffered by pre-match warming by Ryan Burl, one of their star players.
Ireland has a 3-1 tin which cannot be denied in the five matches with the last match on Saturday in Bready.
