Karwar: The 15-year-old boy lost after a crocodile in the river dragged him into the water, in the city of Dandeli on Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred at the bank in Vinayak Nagar in the industrial city.
Mohin Mehaboob Ali has gone to the edge of the river for fishing.
The witnesses told the police that they saw the boy dragged into the river and suspected that he might have been taken by the crocodile.
Local residents have reported an increase in crocodile attacks on the river.
The Taluk government has called a rafting team from Ganeshgudi to find the boy.
Until the afternoon there was no sign of Mohin’s body.
When animals entered Towntwo a few months ago a large crocodile had entered the housing area of the city of Dandeli created panic.
