Dharwad: A fight between a drunk man and his wife ended with a tragedy, with the last one getting a piece of nose.
The woman’s mother, who tried to relieve the situation, was also allegedly attacked in Aminabhavi, a 15km village of Dharwad, on Sunday.
The police said that Umesh Gandgudari was drunk, Aminabhavi’s native, took a fight with his wife Geetha, who lived in the house of her mother Neelava.
In anger, Umesh took a sharp weapon and cut Geetha’s nose.
When Netelava tried to stop it, he also bear the burden of his anger, and escape with terror.
Dharwad rustic police rushed to Neelava’s house, and shifted him and Geetha to the hospital.
Umesh reportedly escaped.
